2012 - Current
I specialize in Wedding, Engagement, Senior, Family, and Newborn Photography. I started my own business in 2012 on the side while I was teaching. In 2014 I opened up my own studio in Williamston and began doing photography full time. I am self taught and proficient in natural light and studio lighting. I classify myself as a natural light photographer because I love using natural light and natural settings most in my photography. I love capturing candid moments as well as beautiful posed portraits. My style is a mixture of photojournalistic and posed portraits.
Middle School Math Teacher
St. Gerard, Lansing, Mi
2009-2014
At St. Gerard I had the pleasure of being the head middle school math teacher. I taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Honors Algebra in grades 7-8. As a math teacher I differentiate my teaching instruction for my students to help them learn at the pace best for them. I also include as much technology as possible into my classrooms to enhance the education for my students. I try to apply real life when teaching and promote student involvement in my lessons. I am a very high energy and enthusiastic teacher who loves to build trusting relationships with my students.
High School Math Teacher at Battle Creek Central, Battle Creek, Mi
2008 - 2009
I taught Advance Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry to grades 9-12 at Battle Creek Central High School. Battle Creek Central is a diverse urban school in Battle Creek. This was my first full time teaching position and I absolutely loved my experience there. I created relationships with students at this school that still exist to this day. I earned recognition for having the highest scores in my Advanced Algebra class out of all Advanced Algebra classes being taught. I was sad to leave this position, but my husband and I moved to Williamston and I took a position at a school closer to our new home.
